3rd Round Of Chemo Completed

On 13th January 2010,

The 3rd round of chemo started on Friday 8th January 2010. This round was administered due to the 7% of Blast(cancer) cells present, as the last round of treatment did not successfully bring down or totally remove the cells in her bone marrow.

During this episode, there were a lot of uncertainty about the treatment. This was the 2nd option that we chose instead. Initially, the doctors told us that we had to proceed with the first option. The risk involved were of lung bleeding, kidney failure, and other complications.

We were devastated and at a state of confusion. Thank God for providence, as friends we knew, referred us to doctors from private practice and other hospital of the same discipline.

We hurriedly went to seek 2nd and 3rd opinion. After seeing them, at least we had peace in deciding the 2nd option.

Whether we made the right or wrong decision, may the Lord continue guide and protect her.

Today her blood counts will begin to drop...

Pray that there will be no complication, be it diarrhea, fever, rashes. Her blast(cancer) cells will be totally gone.

Pray also for protection of her organ especially her kidneys not to deteriorate further.
